Business updates

07 May 2020 - Midday

Since moving to Level 3 of the Governments Covid-19 lockdown we continue to receive extremely large volumes of freight through the network from all centres. Through the first two weeks of our May calendar, which started the Tuesday after ANZAC Day, the volumes have remained constantly high and some areas around the country have been hit particularly hard.

Overall we are coping well with delivery expectations, however there are still some areas that are having challenges keeping pace with the volume they receive. Wellington is one such region and with this in mind there will, for some days yet, be some difficulty in achieving normal service levels and delays can be expected.

As previously highlighted, we have adjusted our normal service delivery timeframes to allow for 3-5 business days from collection, for which we will make every effort to achieve. If for some reason you are experiencing any significant delays please bear with us as it will be entirely volume related.

As you can imagine our Customer Service’s teams are inundated with enquires therefore we continue to ask respectfully that you refrain from calling customer services for a delivery update and utilise our online tracking. if you would like to lodge a query – online lodgement at this time will be more effective than phone contact. If you are wanting to book in a pickup – this too can be completed online using your pin number.

Thank you for your patience and tolerance and for your ongoing support of Castle Parcels.
